At first glance, this cocktail seems to be a LOT like last week’s POM POM -- but don’t be fooled, elderflower changes everything, and for once, this cocktail is a lovely Holiday White (not red like most of Lark’s others). See below for a bonus kiddie cocktail version of this gem!
Week 6 • 15 December 2016
Serves 20 (in a 10 oz. rocks glass filled halfway with ice)
3 c St. Germain Cordial (found at most stores)7 c Freixenet Cordon Negro Cava6c club sodatwists from 3 lemons
Right before serving, in a gallon jug, place 3 cups St. Germain, 7 cups sparkling wine/Freixenet Cordon Negro Cava, and 6 cups club soda. Transfer this mixture to a serving pitcher or punch bowl, add twists of lemon on the top, and serve in a rocks glass with ice (don't add ice to the cocktail, keep it in an ice bucket.)
KIDDIE FLOWER COCKTAIL
My kids love this -- it’s super fancy and is a nice change from sparkling white grape juice. Make it in a half gallon jar, unless you have lots of people and then double it for a normal Lark gallon size.
Serves 10 (in a 10 oz. kiddie glass filled halfway with ice)
1 ½ c St. Steve’s Elderflower Cordial (available at Mud Lake Farm)6 1/2 c club sodaLemon slices for garnish
In a half gallon container, combine elderflower cordial with 6 cups club soda. Serve immediately with lemon slices in a cutie pitcher -- pour in 10 oz. glasses filled halfway with ice.
