Pinks

 

A gin & tonic is really appropriate in every season. This version, first introduced by my friend Susanna, seems best in spring as its color is one that can only arrive with the new blossoms.

Serves 20 (in a 10-ounce rocks glass filled with ice)

6 cups gin
9 cups tonic (just the standard grocery store version will work just fine)
1 cup Campari
2 lemons, cut in half and thinly sliced

  1. Just before serving, combine gin, Campari, and tonic in a gallon jug.

  2. Transfer to a serving pitcher, add lemons, and give it a good stir.

  3. Serve over ice!
