A true autumn sipper, this cocktail embodies fall flavors! The orange of the Cointreau, the tart apple, and the pomegranate (not to mention the whiskey and ginger) remind me of the rich Holiday flavor. This is everything in one glass without being overly-perfumed.
Whiskey Cider
Serves 20 (in a 10-ounce rocks glass filled halfway with ice)
6 cups apple cider
2 cups pomegranate juice
4 cups whiskey
4 cups ginger beer
ΒΌ cup Cointreau
20 sage leaves, for garnish
In a gallon-size punch bowl, combine apple cider, pomegranate juice, and whiskey.
Right before serving, add ginger beer and give it a good stir.
Serve with Cointreau on the side, so guests can add a splash in their own glass, along with sage leaves for garnish.
